Seems like very good quality and delivery was prompt.
Although the packaging was substantial, the shackles were packed unattached to the tow-strap. The end of one of the shackles had broken through the packaging and, if the hole in the packaging had become much larger, the shackles would almost certainly have fallen out. The shackles are heavyweight and their pin is quite sharp, so either the shackles need attaching to the two-strap or they need to be ‘padded’ so that the pins cannot pierce the packaging.

Webbing strap as good as ever. However, the D shackles, for the first time left a lot to be desired.On one of them, the receiving end for the bolt was not even fully threaded. Threw it in the bin. The strap is only as good as the shackles you are also using.

Three clean town hatchbacks down a country lane. One gets a wheel in the ditch and we cannot move it. 3 towing eyes but no rope! Rescued by a farmer with landrover and chain. Soon as I got home I went on line. Looked at Halfords & Argos – OK, but not inspiring. Found Damar, made in England and seemed sensible. Strap with shackles arrived next day – Oh! better than advertised. Shackles (not as illustrated but OK) fit my towing eye. All neatly stowed with gloves by spare wheel. Hope I never need to use it, but feel more confident of another trip into the scary muddy countryside with it.

Not yet used but looks well made and it’s made in the UK,would I recommend hell yeah so go and buy.

Kit just arrived and looks very good. However, the description is misleading.
While the strap is rated at 5000 kg (5 ton), the shackles are CE rated at a WLL of 3.25 ton. This is not mentioned in the description.
My vehicle is 3.5 ton so I can only hope that the over engineering that goes into the design of such shackles will be enough to cover the shortfall.
